Thanksgiving seems to come earlier every year. While everyone is checking off their grocery lists, don’t forget about the cocktail list. This recipe gives a twist on the classic Mule and combines cozy holiday flavors with just the right amount of seasonal spirits to please any crowd. To be true to the Mule, a copper mug is best, but a simple short glass or coffee mug will work too. This recipe is versatile, so you can choose whichever caramel sauce, apple cider and ginger beer brands you love best.

Salted Caramel Apple Mule
  • caramel sauce (for glass rim and drizzle)
  • sea salt (for glass rim)
  • 1.5 oz. Smirnoff Kissed Caramel vodka
  • 3 oz. apple cider
  • ½ oz. lime juice
  • 4 oz. ginger beer

Rim the drinkware of choice with caramel sauce and sea salt. Fill with ice; add vodka, apple cider, lime juice and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Stir. Top off with ginger beer. Optional: Garnish with an apple slice,
caramel candy or cinnamon stick. Give the cocktail a fun spin by alternating a slice of apple with a soft caramel candy on a cocktail pick and resting it on the rim of the mug.
